2005 Ford focus ....loosing power at 2k revs. All sparks ok, all checked.

Garage told me that there is a high % of fuel in the oil of the car ?? They have said it's the piston rings -.cost outweighs either changing the car or new engine!!

Any thoughts of what else it may be....brining to another garage tomorrow to get 2nd opinion

    Thanks

Leaking injectors can leak petrol into the piston cylinder and it will seep past even good piston rings and mix with engine oil.

No one can tell you on hear if the piston rings are worn or not. It would need a compression test

But petrol in oil has to be injectors
