My landlord is one of those Lyoness reps. Tried to talk me into it. I signed up for the loyalty card for €300 and got the €300 tesco voucher. I had planned on buying a TV in tesco anyway, so it got him off my back and got my TV as planned. I never used the card after that.

    Hi catthinkin,
I am trying to get out of their 'magic' scheme, with no luck so far. I have contacted their head office and they advised me that I need to put in everything into a letter and they will look into it. I got confirmation that they have received my letter and that it was passed to their legal department in Austria. It may take from one up to two weeks for them to come up with an offer as they say.
When I have joined I was told a lot of lies and how 'great' they are. And the main thing is that the recommender has outlined that there is no risk to lose my money. I can get a refund if I want. Well, now when I want a refund my recommender has disappeared, does not respond to emails or does not answer calls.
I am not going to let it be. Depending on their response from the legal dept in Austria I will take my further action in order to get my money back and will stay away of this pyramid for good!!

Have you tried the EU consumer protection office?

They'll get you help in Austria.

I have been reading a lot about how to get the money back.
Most complaints are settled without needing to take legal action.
So first I have tried to sort out this with the recommender - which didnt work.
Next step - I have made an official complaint to their Head Office in Dublin. They have forwarded the complaint/ request of the refund to their legal dept in Austria.
If this wont work the next step will be Small Claims procedure and Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC). They have done a few illegal things (like promoting illegal pyramid scheme, lying in order to get me into this scheme, etc), I am sure CCPC will be interested.
