Google Play Music - Removing unwanted suggestions

So, I made the switch from iPod to Google Play Music after signing up to an All You Can Eat offer. It works really well.

However, Google Play Music insists on suggesting albums to me in my "Recent Activity" tab that I don't own and/or have never played. "Grammar" by Body Language", "Light Noise" by "Maus Haus" and other stuff i've never heard of.

Does anyone know how I remove these things? I've tried clicking on"Not interested" but they just appear again. And when I play or update something, instead of jumping to the top of the list, they slot in underneath the ones that I don't want pushed on me.

Notice how, despite playing a song by Interpol, that album doesn't go up to the top of the list like it should, it slots in underneath the ones I don't own.

    Any ideas?

Thats odd, that doesn't happen to me, do you own the interpol song and have added it to google play music? I dont have any of my owned music added to google play music and I just use the streaming service. I've never had anything random pop up in my recent activity but it doesn't seem to update straight away after listening to something either.

Yeah, I don't use the streaming service at all, I just use it to remotely listen to my owned music from the cloud. No mattr how many times I click "Not Interested", those rogue albums don't go away. I've neither bought or streamed them.

Its possible that your account is logged in elsewhere and as a result, other peoples history is showing. If you don't own the songs, are you using the free one month All Access trial?
To see what devices your Music has been played on go into Google Play Music > Settings > My Devices.

You'll be able to deauthorise devices from here, as well as seeing what devices music has been played from. http://i.imgur.com/X6256HK.png

Tried that but it's just my phone and laptop that are connected. These albums are on neither of them. Even so, if I click "not interested" on any of the albums I own, they get shaded out.

Not these rogue ones however :(

I had the exact same problem; same artists and songs showing in the recent activity section, and I've fixed it only today!

I've signed up here, just to let you know how you might be able to solve the problem, as you were the only other person I could find online who has experienced the same issue.

For the longest time I thought it was Google trying to force it's idea of burgeoning "up--and-comers" on me, that I had no interest in. Apparently not. It's actually HTC.

The tracks in question were pre-downloaded on my HTC One M8.

I located them in a folder called "Music" on the phone's internal hard-drive and as soon as I deleted them they were gone from Play Music.

Hope this solves your problem too!
