Myself, other half and 3 kids want to go somewhere nice and warm, near pools, beach and activities. I have a week off work at the start of May and can't afford the high season prices of July. Anyone have any suggestions? Would Spain be warm enough to swim outside at thatbyime of year,?

I was in Majorca in April last year and it was around 22 degrees, so like an Irish summer. May should be warmer still.

Heading to Albifueria (I have no clue how to spell it) hoping it's a nice temperature in mid May!

We're off to Alvor (Portugal) the end of May with our two girls and we're assuming the weather will be lovely without being too hot. It's a lovely family spot-it's quiet but the beaches are stunning and the restaurants are so reasonable and delicious.

We got married in Nerja, Spain a few years ago mid May and the weather was fabulous.

Was in Barcelona beginning of May last year, weather was really nice and the flights very cheap.

Was thinking of taking a week as well then as their is 5 pay days in May.. Looking at costa de almeria in spain, weather is usually beautiful there at that time. Average temps 24deg. Wunderground.com is a fab site for checking weather history for previous years. Costa blanca should be very hot as well.
