HTC One M8 problems

    Hi I uploaded the lasted lollipop update on my phone yesterday and ever since I cant connect to wifi. It keeps scanning but just cant make connection.I tried a factory reset and now it cant connect to google servers when trying to set up my account.Also the battery life is about half of what it was. Has this happened to anyone else.

    it was a automatic update on my phone

    Not sure then, sorry. If you had flashed the ROM manually, I would have suggested that you had the wrong firmware.

    I had a look around and found this.
    Solution: Usually, if this is an upgrade related issue, the factory reset will have resolved the problem. In this case however it still persists. Have you tried turning off the Auto network switch setting of your phone?

    From a Home screen, tap Apps icon
    Tap Settings.
    Tap Wi-Fi.
    Tap Menu icon
    Tap Advanced.
    Tap Auto switch to mobile network to enable or disable. (Make sure it does not have a check mark)
    If the issue persists then there may be something wrong with the Wi-Fi hardware component of your phone. I suggest bringing your phone to an authorize service center for checking.

    If that doesn't work, some more suggestions here.

    I tried that and it didn't' work..why have these updates if they destroy your phone

    Seems to be a common issue. If you google for M8 Lollipop Wifi, you can see that it has happened to ALOT of people.

    I haven't had this problem but there are many (bugs) since update. TO name but a few for me:
    • When media plays from youtube im left with an image of video on my lock screen until I turn phone off.

    • Webpages not opening from external links.
    • Copy and Cut (Paste) not always working.
    • Messenger freezes for 2 seconds after I send message.

    Asides from these (bugs) other changes I HATE:
    • Google Keep quick access has been removed from my lock screen.

    • Image of media file taking over the whole phone on lock screen.
    • The cheap looking additions to the stock wallpapers when you are making calls. (Blue bar running across top).

    Is there a way of reverting back to the old update?
