Could anybody suggest a good wax for a reflex silver colour so that it gets that mirror shiny finish?

    Thanks

Does it have to be wax?

As sealants give a more "mirror shiny finish" than waxes?

What kind of budget? Are you looking for something very durable or dont mind applying something every 3-4 months? Very durable would be 1 year plus.

I ended up applying AG Super resin polis then AG Extra gloss protection which is their sealant. I can say that I am very pleased.

I know that some ppl putting a wax over the sealant so not sure is it worth. By the way yeah I would prefer putting sealants/waxes every 4 months and so.

Would it be worth switching from AG to Chemical guys? I was thinking trying their Glaze Glossworkz then applying Jetseal.109.

    Thanks

AG SRP and AG EGP is a decent combo - it will last quite well and look good on the silver.

CG's Glossworkz Glaze is slightly different to the SRP, its is not a polish...but both are designed to hide light swirls and defects in the paintwork. Glossworkz Glaze will gives a nice wet look to the paintwork, perhaps better suited to darker colours when wet look stands out more....but combo'd with JetSeal109, they will work very well together.

Another thing to consider is, that layering products, such as SRP and EGP or CGs G.Glaze and JetSeal, will hinder the bonding of the protection (EGP or JetSeal) and they wont be as durable as they would be if applied directly onto the paintwork. Though, they offset is if you are trying to enhance weathered paintwork, you'd want the layer underneath to help with shine.

Is the paintwork in good condition? Its not faded, looking dull, or heavily swirled from poor washing?

Paintwork is in a very good condition. There are few very light swirl marks on few places but nothing dramatic. Wish I could post a pic but still need to reach 50 posts (newbie rule )

I am following Larry from AMMO so what he is saying that layering would protect the paint work much better(Obviously that means that paintwork is correctly prepared prior to sealants /waxes).

He means layering the same product. So in your case, two layers of Extra Gloss Protection. One reason is to ensure 100% coverage. There is also a point of diminishing returns. Putting 10 layers doesn't give much extra benefit over just two layers...more so wasting product.

I agree with you, there is no point putting crazy amonuts of layers.

    Thanks for info btw.
