I've a 06 1.9tdi passat, I disconnected the battery an reconnected it an now the car won't start. It's starts after 40 seconds of turning over, but dies straight away after firing up. Any ideas?

Did you short a wire off anything?

I don't think so. I had the battery box out, replaced it. Reconnected battery, an nothing. Checked all fuses. All seems ok.

Copper grease the terminals. You'd be surprised what it can achieve.

A mates Transit connect wouldn't start the other day, no life at all. Took the battery out and copper greased the terminals, connected it up and away she went no problem. Been fine ever since.
