    HI

Looking to get a car for my mum. She has driven a 04 Mini One for last 10 years so looking at something along these lines

    2013 or newer
    Petrol
    Engine size 1.0 - 1.2 max
    2 or 5 door

Cars she likes the look of - Fiat 500, Beetle, Ford Ka.

Mileage extremely low - 35,000 miles on her 11 year old mini!!

Suggestions what she should look at please - She's more a looks than technical person as well!!

    Thanks

What about a nearly new Renault Clio? My wife has one since 2011 and really likes it.

2013 looks good alright - I'll put that on the list and there is a main dealer nearby. Thanks

Renault Clio 1.2? Stylish, reliable and more comfy than the Mini.

    A bit over budget.

a peugoet 208 in 1.0L would not be a bad option and should be within your budget

a peugoet 208 in 1.0L would not be a bad option and should be within your budget, or even check out opel corsa in 1.0L. should be able to get a 131 reg for your budget in either of these cars

15 reg Seat Mii here for close to your budget. Possible pre reg so very little mileage and will have the majority of the manufacturer's warranty on it.

What are peoples thoughts on 132 - Ford Ka 1.2 3 dr?

They are not great, it's the Fiat 500's cousin. The KA is poorly speced and that model didn't sell in great numbers.

And are people's opinions of Fiat 500 bad as well?

You probably should as that phrase was coined in the 70s and it says more about you than it does about the cars.

The 500 is aimed at the niche market like the MINI and has been very successful. The second generation Ka is it's poor relation and nowhere near as well thought out, it was also designed more for the cheaper budget market than the 500.

Please don't, you have already embarrassed yourself with that statement.

My mam has just bought a 141 Opel corsa (think its a 1.1) for just shy of 11k, all extras, heated seats, heated steering wheel, Bluetooth etc
    Nice little car
