The 2011 one was what, nine odd? This is, by my drunken maths, 200 times weaker?

I know there's a load of other factors, but its not that big is it?

*i have a brother in Tokyo so not playing it down*

<Tsunami Forecast (Slight Sea Level Change)>
Though there may be slight sea-level change in coastal regions, no tsunami damage is expected.

that reminds me of the joke about the Kerryman that got a set of water-skis for Christmas, but never got to use them as he couldn't find a lake with a slope.

How much radioactive water is still flooding into the sea from Fukushima anyway?

I doubt a 6.8 richter will have any effect on the gear that's been spewing into the Pacific for the last couple of years.

A lot of people follow Shintoism and Buddhism in their lives. Shinto wedding, buddhist funerals for example...

People go to the shrines a couple of times a year for festivals and the odd wedding but it isn't a central part of peoples lives in the same way as christianity in many parts of the west or islam in the middle east.
