    Hey guys,

Just wondering has anyone purchased from this place? I see a thread up with a poor review of the place. Has anyone anything positive to say about these lads??

    Cheers for any feedback

If they have bad reviews that would be a red flag but if they have what you want treat it carefully and get an inspection done by your own mechanic and do a history check.

Have you been there to make your own mind up?

Unfortunately I haven't that's why I'm seeking advice. Hoping to travel up in the next day or two

Done history check it seems ok... Quiet a few previous checks so it might have swapped hands a few times. Trying to find a mechanic who'll give it a once over for me

I'd say have a look yourself. You'll know whether to buy or not when you look at the car, have a look round the dealership and meet the salespeople.

A worthy equation to be aware of:

Naas Road + Car Dealer = Be very very Careful!

There are a lot of dodgy Car Dealers in that area

I don't think so... There's another thread from a few months back up on this...

You'd most likely be wasting a day off & a trip imo.

Is there a specific motor you're after that they have or is there a deal on something?

To be honest I wouldn't step into the bermuda triangle at all, there are plenty reputable sellers around the country & probably some closer to home for you.

If it looks like a duck, and it sounds like a duck...

It's just a car they have there that I like the look off. I've a limited budget and a car to trade.

I'm not from Dublin and don't know the area that's why I'm seeking advice. To be honest the vehicle I'm looking at isn't a deal or a bargain. It's just one that's caught my eye

Mentioned here before, make what you want from it.

BTW if you are travelling a good distance to view a car then I would have more than one car/dealer to go see. Otherwise you might put yourself under pressure to buy something that may not be right, just because you don't want to travel home empty handed.

Ya it's only that car at the min, I'm only gonna have enough in my account for a deposit. I won't be purchasing under pressure.

Got in touch with a mechanic up there and he advised me to stay clear of that area. So I think I'll happily keep my money and keep searching

The Mr. BG of BG Autos happens to be,allegedly, a major West Dubiin criminal gang leader involved in the illegal narcotic trade.

please do not go near BG Autos. My husband bought a car from them last year. The gearbox bearings went on the car. We made several attempts to contact the sales man and then sales manager, we were being ignored. They didn't want to know about us! The car was only 3 months old at that stage.

The reason we got the car with them is exactly the same as yourself. Limited funds and they had the car my husband loved.

We had an independent car assessor look at the car and he said with the small mileage, year of the car the gearbox bearing should not have gone.

BG Autos tried to get out of the warranty but we had an email confirming we had a six month gearbox warranty. They refused to fix the car so we had to go away and get another dealership to fix the car. The job came to 1600euro which we didn't have so we had to put it on the credit card.

we took BG Autos to small claims court and won our case. We are still waiting to receive payment from BG Autos. The decree is currently with the Dublin County Sherrif.

please don't bring the heartache onto yourself. don't buy from them.
