    Heading to Gothenburgon on a quick trip in April, any recommendations for going out?

    Make sure you have a heap of money!

    I was there twice and ended up hanging out on the kungsportsavenyn (sp? the main strip) both times, was plenty of bars/nightclubs that were great craic. Was €6-7 a pint at the time and this was 5-6 years ago though...

    I was there about 7 years ago and really liked it - depsite it dumping 2 foot of snow in about 8 hours... but they are well prepared for it and nothing stopped working. I only remember a half decent Irish bar and a place called either the Palace or Empire bar on the main drag. Both quite nice. We spent sometime down around the canals and docks walking... took a boat trip. Only there for 2 days before heading to Copenhagen on the train.
