Self employed income cutoff for JSA

    Hopefully a simple question.
I have a small business and looks like from next month I'll only be able pay myself about €250 per week.

Would I be eligible for a JSA payment. My wife isn't working and we have one dependent child.

    Thanks

    Ok...that's a bit worrying!

I was in full time paid work until July 2014 so hope those PRSI payments (credits? whats the word?) would be counted towards something.

Strange...the post I was replying to above seemed to vanish. The mp22 post isn't worrying. In fact it's very useful if a little more complicated than teh short answer I was hoping for (isn't that always the way?).

If you are self employed you can apply for jobseekers allowance which is a means tested payment. Your means will have to be assessed by a sw inspector. If your drawings are €250 pw then it is likely that you will receive some payment.
