Oil fired Boiler Question

    Looking for a professional opinion on this....... SIME oil fired boiler (gas oil) has sulpher like deposits in the burning chamber and up through the baffles. Is this normal?. Only light deposits . The boiler is only in second season of use and was otherwise very clean.

    Common enough with those. Annual service very important with gas oil. Service will reveal if over aired. Conventional flues are rarely fitted with draught diverters, so over airing can occur under certain weather conditions.

    Thanks for that... Flu is 6" ss on the outside of wall .... extends about 7-8 ft to just above the gutter... I have always thought it was a bit noisy.. ie. heavy roar
