    Hi Guys

I took my Original Xbox from the attic (I had softmodded the box.). I wanted to see if it still worked. Anyway, I have had a complete hard drive failure on the box and have missed placed the eeprom save file I had when I softmodded the box at the start.

So I was wondering, does anybody have, an eeprom reader I could use, as to get the eeprom number from my Xbox?

Don't have one but here is DIY guide to making one.

Don't like those softmods, bit too fragile and limiting. Just fitted a chip & a SATA disk to my crystal Xbox and the weekend and apart for a curiously long boot time it works like a champ :)

I think they only cost around $10 these days.
I got one to fix someones xbox that had a failed hard disk in it.
Just put the modchip in then put the new hd in and boot off a build CD.
If you get stuck I can PM you the details of there I got the chip from.
