I'm currently saving for a new bike and hoping to treat myself in the near future.

It is coming down to 2 bikes, Specialized Tarmac Comp and Cannondale SuperSix Evo Carbon.

Both are similarly spec'd but one looks conservative and the other a little more green :D

I could flip a coin for either is why I ask Which would you choose?

    Specialized Tarmac Comp

    Cannondale SuperSix

Very little difference spec wise so it comes down to looks. The Cannondale looks better IMO.

    Cannondale SuperSix
I have a Tarmac and am really happy with it. The newer Cannondale frames are not the quality they once were finish wise.

That specific Tarmac looks like an entry-level Allez at first glance.

I agree, there is nothing special looking about the bike at all. Superficial I know, but if the spec is matched like that way I'd go for looks. Mind you, that Cannondale green is not easy on the eye.

I agree, the Cannondale looks top notch apart from that lime green colour.

Just get the Cannondale in the black...problem solved :)

Cannondale for me. Have neither just like the look.

(Get green and seemlessly find your next Boards.ie Jersey and shorts match your bike...)

If it were me, I would think about it a bit more, and get something else.

Absolutely. The bikes in the poll are in a sense Everyman type of bikes. Sure they might be decent but why would anyone want to cycle an Everyman type of bike.
Think a bit more in this issue OP.

For those who are saying I should look at something different what would you recommend within the same price range?

My decision isn't fully made up but these were two bikes that had taken my fancy

If you wanted something on par with the Cannondale you'd probably be looking towards Canyon or Rose. The Canyon CF SL 9.0. But, when you are spending that amount of money there is something to be said for buying the likes of the Cannondale from a bricks and mortar shop who will be more than happy to get you set up on it, do tune up's in the first few months for free/pennies and possibly throw in a few goodies when you buy the bike. Also a lot less warranty hassle from a decent shop than you would get from Canyon/Rose.

The two bikes that I have mentioned in this post are around €2600 but if something came up that I really liked and is worth the extra money then yes I could stretch my budget to €3500

The Ridley Helium is a helluva bike. €2800 buys you the C20, a 11s 105 version, Fulcrum 7 wheels and a compact crank while €3400 gets you the C10, 11s Ultegra, with semi compact crank plus some other nice carbon bits and fulcrum racing 4 wheels.

There's nothing at all wrong with 105

I'd be surprised if you couldn't wangle a few % off these RRPs...
