    Hi guys,

    Need advice,

We got a house built, builder went bust, but he did finish .... Eventually but not without difficulties.

We are having plumbing probs, the kitchen sink was getting blocked. I lifted the manholes at the back, cleared the kitchen crap, then saw the manholes were full of sewage.

I got a plumber out, as I thought (!) the pump had stopped.

It turns out it was the agitator, aerator that he turned on, but he did not know our system.

So, still had the same problem, there were no blockages as I used rods and all was clear, but what a stinking job!

I then phoned a drain clear company, got someone out, he blasted the drains, there was some movement, but he had never seen a system like it before. He told me to find out more info and get in touch with him again. The builder reused to answer my queries, so no comeback there. That's no big surprise as it took me 2 years to get him back to finish a few jobs, badly, very badly.

What I need is someone who knows the system to call out.

We have a Klargester septic tank with Pumping chamber and Percolation area.

The Pump from pumping chamber to percolation area seems to be not working. From septic tank to pumping chamber, water does not seem to be leaving the chamber, backing it up,

What I need to know is, does anyone know or recommend someone from New Ross or surrounding area to come have a look and et us know how the system really works?

Any help or advice would be appreciated

If the pump is not pushing the water to the percolation area the tank will fill up, this then covers the motor and it trips out. So what you do know is that the sump pump is not working you need to empty the tank and the sump ,check the sump pump float switch is not restricted and start e,
    Eliminating things from there.
Klargester have service teams but ain't cheap and will need an empty tank anyways.

Klargester is one of the better systems out there but like any system need to be set up right. They have a good service teams and your probably better to get them out to check over the whole system.

    Hi all,

    Me again ....

I contacted the supplier via email, as is the easiest option. The email I got back from said manager, did not instill confidence in me, typos, copy and paste job and badly written in English. Suggested I get the system commissioned etc. for €411.

The cost did not bother me, knew it would cost, but for such a large company I expected professionalism. Is that too mch to ask?

I emailed back because he got my back up telling me he could not phone me as I had my phone off, etc. etc. I sent an original email asking for a response via email as I work in a 300 year old building which is not conducive to any type of mobile phone service, and knew this, but I got berated for my phone being off.

I then asked for an official quote, told him my response to him berating my lack of phone manners, the copy and paste job, etc.

He emailed me a quote, ok so I got over the fact that it is another copy and paste job, got more details wrong?,

He has offered me commissioning for 412 or an engineer for an hour for 240.

I have no confidence in a company that go on attack wth a potential customer, copy and paste job, ok maybe for initial contact, but not checking details on a quote?

Is it just me getting on my hgh horse? Is this the text generation not being able to communicate?

I know you lot have recommended them, but I expected a little professionalism.

I know I have to go with them, unfortunately, but which option should I go for?

And do I need to ensure the guy is qualified or is that pushing it?

I understand I berate others for typos....

My iPad is impossible at the best of times, no matter what I type!

Give these guys a call in newry it's their head office , explain the case with the service manager.
I have the same system, it has broken down and I've fixed it myself and purchased spares etc from them , but I am a building contractor and deal with this type of stuff, unfortunately I'm way way up north .
