Sounds like condensate is blocked . If you can trace it to point of termination and see if you can see anything obvious first , obviously I can't give you any direction to within the boiler . It's an expensive call to Vokera if it's just a blocked drain. Had one last week that was blocked with leaves at the shore

Out outlet is about 7 foot off the ground.

It sounds like air bubbling in the boiler.

I am wondering if its ok to use, as it seems to still heat the rads even though its making a racket.

Your condense pipe is a 22mm plastic pipe , it should be going to a drain , I'd say your looking at the flue if it's 7ft off the ground .
If it's bubbling , and you have 1.5bar , and assuming you have vented rads , it's going to be most likely a blocked condensate and not air in the system , could also be kettling from a dirty system . But my money is on condensate . Have you a pic of pipes under boiler ?

    sorry ...was at work..

pic, i did go outside and saw a 22mm white pipe going to the ground, i checked it and its ok, would there be a problem further up beneath the unit itself ?

If the condensate was blocked would it not back up into the heat exchanger?

It's a down firing burner, it would back up and fill the sump below the heat exchanger and the fan will be blowing down into it , creating the bubbling sound . I wouldn't call Vokera , €230 odd , to fix something that could be done during a routine service .

The boiler is still under warranty, so thats why was going to call them, maybe better to get local RGI bloke in.?

Ah well if it's under warranty then fair enough , get them out. . But it dsnt sound like a manufacturing fault so I don't know how it works with charges etc. best say it to them on the phone.

Cheers alot. I googled volkera boiler bubbling and found this thread.
Found the 22mm pipe and flicked and wobbled it around a bit and heard water run down and out. Tried boiler and the noise stopped boiler all good again.

    Hello,
Just wanted to say thank you to the forum users that gave me an idea how to find and fix this common problem.
Any way follow the logic :pipes- water - blockage and you will eventually find the problem.
And of course -Always cut power to boiler .
    Thanks

AND stay within the law concerning working on gas boilers. You could end up a lot worse off than Daniel O’Donnell :(
