Does anyone know anything about it? The kids do swimming lessons so I've been going along to the pool. I'm not a great swimmer so have been trying pool running instead. I'm not really sure what I should be doing so I'm just "running" widths of the pool at a depth that just reaches my chin. I've usually do some drills as well (high knees, butt kicks) but its all very random. Does anyone know of any particular sessions I should try to improve my running on dry land?

Hi. I've never done pool running with feet touching the bottom. I've done aquajogging which involved using a foam belt to keep you upright at about middle-rib-level in the deep end:

There are some webpages explaining how to get the form right (and sessions to do).

I've only done it when injured with an ITB problem long in the past, and it wasn't I'd go back to of my own choice. I wouldn't think it'd be worth getting the belt unless you are expecting to do it fairly frequently
