Just on an AV/AX at the moment: whenever an automated announcement plays there's a loud whine through the speakers as well. It must be coming from the vehicles electrical system or some component on the dash as it's going up and down with engine speed. Is this a general problem?

I've experienced it a few times. Very annoying.

You could probably mention it to the driver as they are designed so the driver doesn't really hear them so may be unaware or take a note of the bus number and pop of an email about it. ( the second option would be the better tbh)

Alternator interference...lack of suppression on the Alternator/s itself. Most certainly NOT a priority in terms of Bus Maintenance....which segways neatly into crappy P/A systems being specified on Buses....;)

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.
