Ok so basically I bought this sierra for stock car racing :o. 2.0 DOHC EFI. Bought it with the engine in the boot. Engine turns over perfect so i'm pretty sure it's ok. At this stage we have the engine and box in, all the wires we can find plugged an etc. There are 4 brand new spark plugs in it. This in where I'm confused :(. I'm a complete novice to petrol so I don't know a whole lot. The external coil pack it wired and the plug leads are all ok I think, the distributer cap looks worn but should be able to spark I think. But when i turn the engine over no spark. I don't even know where the ecu is in the sierra, is the spark controlled by the ecu or just the injectors? May it just be a coil pack? Thanks lads :)
