SA and who knows for the second. Thinking India cause they have been playing I'm oz recently but could go either way

SA will as usual steamroll everyone in the group stages and should finish top of the group

Its when they get to the knockouts that they get stage fright:pac: ..... staggering to think that they have not won a single knockout match in 6 world cups so far!

A few months ago I would have had India as comfortable winners against Pakistan but now I am not so sure:( ..... India have been so hopeless in their last 5 competitive ODI's that I don't know which team is going to turn up tomorrow.... All depends on how well they bat as the will get nothing from the bowlers!

Going for South Africa and Pakistan wins today. Never know with India Pakistan games though, hopefully it will be fantastic, and close for the fans.

Got to say that the way India have been playing I think Pakistan will win

However I'll also say that with an event like this it's the team that's playing best at the end of the tournament that matters.

7 weeks is a long time to maintain form - I'm not saying the likes of SA and Aus will fade, but they only need to play a team which suddenly finds form in the knockout stages for the whole thing to go belly-up. I'm certainly not discounting India (or indeed England or Sri Lanka) at this stage as there is so much time to play into form

If Zimbabwe get De Villiers out they are in serious business. The outfield looks a bit lush so I don't think it's going to be a high scoring game even if De Villiers stays around.

De Villiers gone, I'm only reading the text updates is the pitch a wild one?

SA run rate under 4 at the minute.

Some nervous moments for SA today......they'll end up needing every run of the 111 runs they scored off the last 6 overs

Good spirit shown by the Zimbabweans in the chase

......And surely even India's pie chuckers should be able to defend 301? :(:(

Millimetres in that not out. Right decision I think.

Good, change of wicket might bring this game to life. Doesn't have the usual atmosphere we have gotten used to with India v Pakistan.

    Goodnight Pakistan

    India's first ever review?

I went to see India v Pakistan in Sharjah UAE a few years ago while living in Dubai. Most electric atmosphere I have ever experienced.

Afridi gone and that is definitely that

Its a disgrace to limited overs cricket that Younis Khan has played so many games in this format, abysmal.

I like Masqood but he is a mini Umar at times, really should have picked Fawad this world cup, but just not enough quality in the side at all.

Also if you call Jamshed late to a squad, why the **** he is not playing againstt India the only side who he has ever bossed? Seriously why bother.:(

Brilliant job, nicely done by India.

Great performance by India but shame about the batting display in last 10 years. Just pathetic. Dhoni is close to useless and there isn't a player to finish innings strongly. We need players like Yuvraj to end the game with bang.

Don't rule out Dhoni just yet, he is an ATG in ODI cricket.

I think Yuvraj shined at 5/6th because Indian top order had a habit of marching back to pavilion one after another. It was all about Sachin, and then everyone goes for duck around Sachin and Sachin himself for less than 30. Top order is more consistent now, but I suppose any team could still use someone like that alright.

Struggling real bad, can't see him scoring many at all. May retire after this world cup.

Bit harsh as we had Ganguly, Dravid for many years. Dhoni was a fantastic finisher but he is in worst form in his career so we don't have anyone to pick up the mantle.

Ah you are right, they were good when they were good. But there was indeed a period where it kinda collapsed and was left to Yuvraj, probably not as often as I thought it was, but that's the impression I had of it somehow.
