Hi there. My team leader and manger informed me that there is an annual uniform refund if you work in retail Does anyone know where or how to claim. The only place I could find information was on tax refund agency.
Also I did not claim it last year so can I get it back dated?

Can back date up to 4 years if you can find an expense that is applicable to your job.

Claim it in your PAYE Anytime account, phone the Paye 1890 number or request it via email.

So it falls under Flat Rate Enpenses and I applied for it on PAYE Anytime for 2014 and 2015. It says claimed in the status but how do I actually claim it? Will a cheque be sent to my address, bank transfer or do I have to send any documents into the tax office. Serious lack of information on PAYE

If it says claimed then it's already been applied to your tax credits in your job so the relief would automatically be granted against your wages as part of your tax credits.

If you only just put it in online request a P21 for 2014 and you'll get the relief included then as a refund.
