Fecked Car Door Mechanism

    I was oiling the front door lock mechanism on a 2000 fiat Brava and I pushed the locking lever too far. It is now locked closed and I cannot release it. Any ideas on how to release it?
    Any help appreciated.

    Pull the outer door handle and it should open.

    Won't, I'm afraid. I tried unlocking and locking the doors with the key, too. No joy. I can hear the actuator kicking in, but no joy from the lock.

    put a screwdriver in the little roundy hole pull the door handle and it should pop out.
