The increase volume button on my laptop is hanging off. Does anyone know of a place in Ireland or UK that sell replacement keys?

Are the clasps that hold the key in broken?

Thanks but I've no interest in buying and fitting a new one for the sake of one button.
I found a place in California that sells brand new keys (I asked them).

You'll most likely find a replacement keyboard on eBay cheaper than a single key with shipping from the USA. Swapping a keyboard is a simple replacement but if you don't fancy that you'll have a full set of replacement keys. Please come back and let us know how much the single key costs

The key is working out about 7 euro including shipping (shipping was $2.50). I do take your point though its 6 of one and half a dozen of the either. But seeing as the rest of keyboard is working perfectly it just seems like a waste to take it out.

That's not so bad, I was expecting more

Ya that's what I thought too, hopefully it doesn't take ages to get here.

I ask because if not then it should snap back into place but I presume you've tried that

Ya, exactly it was brand new and all that but it definitely wasn't the right one, so I have new one coming from Dublin.

Ya, i wouldn't go replacing the keyboard if the clips on the keyboard that's receiving the new key is good.

Well now im going to do just that because as it is I have no increase volume button, so the simplest thing to do is replace the whole thing. I should have a new keyboard here tomorrow. Said id write this up because it might help someone in the future with the same problem

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Take it from me, ordering a new keyboard is the way to go. Replacing individual keys is very much hit and miss.

Ya ive found this out the hard way. No way was I ever going to be able to get the key in. It took me about 10 mins to fit the new key board and its very simple. Just pop the old one out and put the new one in. Theres plenty of videos on You Tube to show how to do it.
