    Its a while since I sold hiluxes, but did the single cab actually have steps usually?

    I think so. My neighbour had a single cab hilux a number of years ago and it had steps.

    Even a 2015 hills single cab hasn't steps.
    Some of the Hilux Vigo imports from Thailand had stuff like steps and alloys
