    It is hopefully and isolated case but it says alot about the traceability of cattle over here when the Federal Agriculture Minister is proud of the fact that almost 90% of cattle out here are traceable.

    I'm not sure if the recent proposal to trade Irish dairy products for allowing Canadian beef into Ireland went through but I said at the time that we shouldn't assume Canadian beef is equal to Irish beef. Having grown up on a farm in Ireland I am very proud of how much info we have about each individual animal even if the paperwork is a nuisance!

    Fingers crossed we don't see more cases now.
