under my bonnet, where there was some rust on the bulkhead, there is a rusty stain running down the bulkhead. I reckon I'll have to remove this before painting...what's the best way? will it buff off do you think or will I have to sand it out..... it's just where water has run down across the rusty bit and stained the otherwise sound paint.

I second this a bit of compound will do it.if it's only a surface stain and not coming through from behind it's a simple fix. What's it on outta curiosity?
