Am planning on having a concealed cistern toilet in an ensuite. room is not tiled yet but i would like to have it tiled in rather than buying a unit to enclose the cistern, also presuming its cheaper to tile.
I have not picked out a toilet yet but im wondering am i going to be looking for a standard concealed cistern or is there special types depending on whether or not they will be tiled over?
    any advice welcome :)

They are quite a few different types of concealed cisterns, some better than others.
The most important thing to keep in mind is this, how easy will it be to work on the cistern, or its internal components, should anything need repairing.
A couple of times I have seen very expensive porcelain tiles having to be broken off a wall because there was not enough access to the concealed cistern.
Most good bathroom or plumbing stores can got through the various different types with you and show you the advantages of one over the other.

Try to get one where the half flush and full flush are two separate buttons
