The rachet strap is very good. I use it for tying down 750kg bulk-pack pallets of paper in my van and they dont budge an inch. :)

I'm planning to stock up on air freshners!!

I'm a great fan and frequent customer (at least twice a week) of Lidl but I just can't see how a €6.99 Bluetooth headset could have a decent battery.

    Avoid.

Out of that list ratchet straps, seat tidier and air freshers look good. Although I dont need to get the straps as I have a load but ill definitely pick up a few air freshers. The seat cover look terrible I don't know who would put them on their car.

The oil pump interests me . not for draining the engine sump but for refilling gearbox, transmission box and diffs on a landrover.
    Anybody already have one ?

Yeah, got it a while ago. In the instructions it actually clearly states not to use it for gearbox, transmission, power steering and brake fluids. Their consistency is indeed quite different from engine oil; I also suspect there is an element of "let's say it so we avoid being sued when Johnny Idiot fills his engine sump with DOT4".

On engine oil, it does exactly what it says on the tin!

I might get one for the gear oil alone then (MTF 90 or whatever it is )because it has about the same consistency or even a bit less than engine oil and is the hardest to refill without some kind of pump.
EP 80 90 in the diffs and transfer box is like jam and stinks but can be refilled out of a bottle without to much bother.

    These coming up again?
So soon, bought one the last time, not a kick out of it, didn't hear reports of anyone else's giving problems though.

I did these on a disco I had and found the handiest and cleanest way to refill was a length of hose and a large syringe. Stood beside the jeep and kept clean, done in minutes.

I don't know why anyone would put seat covers on full stop. Well maybe with the exception of them active type waterproof ones for people who would otherwise destroy the seats.

Which brings me on to the wet vac. Any comments on them? They any good? Anyone ever get one?

The LED torches are a must, bought one last time around, extendable and magnetic on the base so sticks to under side of bonnet or wing if you have a flat.

Is the 1300W Wet/Dry Cleaner any good?

The oil pump delivers just 0.2 L per minute for engine oil? So half an hour to pump 5 litres?

Jeesh, I'd have pulled the sump plug, drained it and refilled it myself in half that - and have a fully charged battery at the end.

I like it. Where do you get the tubing and a large syringe?

I'm sure some bright spark will leave his engine running to keep the battery charged :D:eek:

For just 6.99 I'm going to give it a go. Personally I don't need my phone too often whilst driving so it would probably suit a casual like myself.

yeah I have one too and find them great, they hold their charge for months too. I just happended to pull mine out of the shed last night, last used during the summer and hasn't been charged since before then, worked great.

If you're not using it every day (like e.g. the hackney drivers), a Bluetooth headset is useless because the battery will always be flat when you go to use it. If you can predict the day before when you'll be using it then well and good, charge it up the night before and you're good to go. If you want it to be sitting there for the odd time you'll suddenly need it, I wouldn't bother.

Can you not charge it in the car?
