Early signs of psychosis?

Guys I've had a mild psychotic episode before and I've just realised that I might be slipping into one again. I've been having all these "memories" which I'm now not sure is just my imagination playing tricks on me. The same thing happened before when I was just permanently "in my head" living through my imagination thinking I was "remembering" all these amazing things that had happened to me. The lines between fantasy and reality are getting blurred.

Anyway I was wondering if there is anything I should do that might be able to help or to arrest the slide? I know people are going to suggest going to my GP but I'm already on medication so am not keen on more. Maybe trying to get more exercise or getting out more?

I'm sorry you're going through this, and fair play for identifying what's going on.

It is your health you're talking about, though. Nobody here knows you well enough and/or is qualified enough to give you advice.

I get that you don't want to go on more medication, but if you do want to stop the slide you need to see a doctor ASAP. I'm sure they'll give you the best advice for you based on your medical history and their professional judgement.

  • Yeah guess I'll have to go that route (unfortunately). Cheers.
