i just bought two LG monitors 22m35 and only one displays, both monitors are connected to each DVI port but still the second display says "d-sub no signal"
My graphics card is a r9 270x by xfx with the latest driver installed. Anyone know what the problem could be?

D-sub is usually the VGA connector, change the input on the monitor using the menu keys to DVI.

My first thought too. If that doesn't sort it make sure that the cable and ports all work by swapping same (I'm assuming that the screen itself works given the message that you're getting).

The monitor and cable works when i plug into the top dvi port could this be a problem with the graphics card dvi port?

Definitely possible. Had an old 7870 which the HDMI port would not work. Just happened to be xfx too.

I'm not waiting 6 weeks bought one of these instead: http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-External-Video-Monitor-Adapter/dp/B005G306I2

I must have spent over a €1000 in that place they lost a customer today

That seems most strange, most cards these days have dual dvi, hdmi, and displayport - none of these would work on the 2nd monitor? Did you go into the catalyst display settings to enable the 2nd display? I would find it hard to believe that buying a USB card was the only solution!

Little late as I see you've gone another route. It could well be a hardware fault. The best way to confirm this would be by swaping in another card that worked. I'm not up to date on hardware any more so there could be particular issues with your card but in my (now dated) experience a software/configuration problem was much more common than a hardware problem.

The display and HDMI ports work it's just one of the dual dvi ports that don't. The problem is that the monitors only have a vga connection so hdmi is not an option.

I have tried that but it simply wont recognize any monitor plugged into the second dvi port it wont detect the monitor.

I have tried that with a old card and yes both monitors work with the old card.
