My fiancee and i are reviewing honeymoon options at present and we would both like to take in Thailand & Australia. However, we would need to travel from the end of june/beginning of July to the middle of August.

My query is abut sample itenary and weather conditions. We would like to stop off in Thailand firstly for a relaxing few days but i believe the weather can be quite wet at this time of the year? We would then like to travel onto Sydney but i think it would be relatively cool there before heading onto various different places like whitsundays/ayers rock any nice locations or suggestions?

If anyone has any ideas or links to good sites that would be great

We went to SE Asia for a month on our honeymoon. It was in Sept/Oct, which is considered wet season. It really is hit-and-miss with the weather, but realistically it only rains a couple of hours a day and usually around the same time so you can easily plan around it.
Bangkok was flooded when we arrived from all the rains, but by the time we came out for a walk in the evening, all the water had disappeared and it was very pleasant. It rained a bit during the day a couple of times we went out, but the rain is vertical, unlike here and we managed fine with umbrellas or walking under covered walkways.
We also spent a few days on Koh Phi Phi, which was absolutely amazing and we loved it. It was glorious sunshine during the day and absolutely pi$$ed down at night. No issues with "wet season" at all for us...

We're headed to Thailand and Vietnam in late July, early august. We were there before in Oct which was rainy season as well but as Gatica says, it's really only for an hour or so at a time.

In fact different places are rainy at different times of year. We are heading to Hoi An on the Middle coast of Vietnam where it shouldn''t be the wet season and Koh Tao will be in peak season at that time. Bangkok, Kanchanaburi and Ho Chi Minh City might have an hour or two of downpours each day but sure it's still hot and its a great excuse for middle of the day beers/cocktails :)

    ha very true!

i am looking at a beach side resort rather than a cultural spot so what would somewhere like Koi Samui be like at that time fo year? lazing in a beach/surfing/snorkelling etc. would be preferable!

Don't know about Koh Samui, but Koh Phi Phi was paradise... We stayed at the Island Village resort, which is a bit further from the town and can only be reached by boat (or hike through the mountains).
It's not exactly experiencing the culture, but for relaxing 4 days by the pool/beach, it was ideal. If you do go, mention that you're on honeymoon, they're very good and might throw something in or bump you up.

We are also booking Thailand, it's not until August 2016. We are thinking 3 days bangkok,6 days phuket and 3 days koh phi phi.

Anyone have any suggestions or anything we could change? Hoping to book it in September.

Are Trailfinders good or any other suggestions for places we can book through?

I think that both Phuket and Phi phi are in rainy season in August. You are better off looking at Koh Samui, Ko Phangan or Koh Tao where it will be dry.

Mainly rains at night, as I've already said, so is no reason to discount it based on that alone...
