Great news. The World Darts Trophy is to be televised on Eurosport from 26th of February until 1st of March. Alot of people might not like the BDO because of the fairly low standard compared to the big boys, but this is whats needed. More tv tournaments and more prize money will lead to a better standard. I'll watch any darts weather it's Taylor v MVG or two lads down the pub so I'm delighted to hear this.

This is exactly what bdo need over the last few years they have went off the rails altogether by having very few tournaments on tv. This should bring the popularity of bdo back again.

The last few years the Lakeside has been the only televised event. Would love to see BT invest in it to try rival Sky and the PDC.

Eurosport actually showed quite a lot of BDO tournaments last year, there were plenty of BDO tournaments on TV. Long may it continue.

I think they only showed the Lakeside live and the Winmau Masters was a few days after the tournament had finished.

There was both Live and Delayed coverage on Europsort 1 and 2.

    Here's a link I found with details.

At one stage they had a tournament on nearly every week. Some of the camera work is shocking, but it’s great to see the BDO on the tv all the same. They even give the women’s have decent coverage on eurosport.

Nearly every week? Id say you were watching repeats haha. Never knew they showed anything live. Can you find listings for tournaments that will be shown live this year besides the WDT? BDO seriously need to get there act together and start promoting it more.

It wasn't far off every week. Here is what was shown. I assume it will be the same again next year.

British Open: 19 – 21 September 2014, The Spa, Bridlington, UK

Romanian Open: 28 September 2014, Bulevardul Nicolae Balcescu 4, Bucharest 010051, Romania

Winmau World Masters: 9 – 12 October 2014, Hull City Hall

Top of Ghent: 17-19 October 2014, Flanders Sports Arena, Zuiderlaan 14 in Ghent.

Northern Ireland Open: 7-9 November, 2014, Bellini's 25, Merchants Quay Newry, Co Down,

Eurosports coverage is still very ropey, I'm sure they employ spotters but the camera seems to get lost on a lot of the checkouts.

Adams, Hankey, Montgomery and O'Shea are all out. I think Durrant was the only player with a 100+ average after the first round, I'd like to see him go on and win it. £30k for the winner.

As far as I know, it's the same OB/production company that does the bowls for Eurosport and the Elite League ice hockey for Premier/Setanta.
