Trying to copy my contacts from sim to phone, but I want them to stay as well 'phone contacts' I don't want them thrown in with all my gmail addresses, it will be a night mare. Is there any way of doing this:(

Why would it be a nightmare? It will be a epiphany. Merge your contacts with google and delete everything from your sim and phone memory forever. Lose the phone in the future? No big deal.

Go to the contacts on a laptop you can tidy up and merge the email addresses with the numbers to create one contact per person almost automatically. Iv contacts where one entry is a persons email, mobile, home phone, and uk mobile all as one contact. Works a breeze.

+1 on this - then sort your contacts into groups on GMail and you can then select which groups to display on the phone so you don't have to scroll through hundreds of irrelevant contacts.
