I have an interview coming up and was advised there would be basic technical questions.
The job is for Technical Support with IBM.
Would anyone have any idea/experience of the kind of questions asked?

Normally if you apply for a job in Technical Support they expect you to know technical questions related to the work, if you don't there is something wrong.

Anyway I guess they will ask things like network & vpn, windows, office, related questions, if you know how to config networks and find things in office.

you should be easily able to answer any question if you have the experience, but practice the interview with someone.
this might help, but it' only generalized questions. each job will have specific questions,
