looking for a simple way to run an xbox and TV through an older amplifier (Rotel) and speaker system. The TV is a year old Samsung so has an optical output and a headphone single output. There is a left and right cable slot but didnt seem to work as an ouput for me. At the moment I have the UPC box connected to the amp using the normal left right cables and a bluetooth adapter to play music through the amp. but the xbox doesnt seem to be bluetooth compitable.

Is there a one stop cable I can get to run anything playing on the tv though the speakers? either a tv headphone to amp cable? or via the optical output on the TV to the amp?

Look for an optical to RCA converter and take the sound from the TV . Cheap ones are under £30.
