I don't know why you wouldn't just post the url.. (Joe explained, my apologies)

Link From OP - €164.99 * Please note item 2871127 has previously been on sale at €137.49.
    Check Argos

Also, its cheaper on amazon @ £116/€156.

If you are looking for an electric toothbrush, Oral-B seems to be one most dentists recommend and the cream of the Oral-B crop (Oral-B Trizone 6000) is £98.12/€132 on amazon instead of the €310 argos are looking for it.

    Thanks
Yes, if sold and/or fulfilled by Amazon UK shipping is free on purchases over GBP 25 inc IRISH VAT.
    Deliveries to Republic of Ireland
    FREE Super Saver Delivery

A minimum total spend of £25.00 (including VAT) is required for an order to qualify for FREE Super Saver Delivery to the Republic of Ireland. Items will be delivered 3-4 days after dispatch.
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=1204872

I very rarely pay amazon delivery charges and have placed hundreds of orders.

Always keep a few low priced items from Amazon in your favourites in case you need something to bring your order to £25. Delivery AFAIK is still free even if they have to split your order due to availability.

Just be aware you need to change the delivery option to 'free super saver delivery' at the checkout otherwise you will be charged for standard delivery.Sharp business practice by Amazon IMO

Just got this the other day from Amazon, for the cheaper price, and was worried when I saw this thread title in case it was even cheaper again lol. It's a good toothbrush but it's hard to get used to especially going from a manual brush to an electric one so it'll be a couple of weeks before I can really comment on it

Or just pre-order an expensive item with it and then conveniently change your mind when the item you want arrives. You won't get charged for the pre-order until it ships.

Cant say if "most dentists" recommend Oral B vs Sonicare. Can say that my dentist recommended Sonicare and I've been extremely happy, recommended and/or bought it as gift for several family members and they're all very happy. I've had both (although my Oral B was a entry level model I have to admit) and I prefer the up and down vibration of the Sonicare to the rotary motion of the Oral B. First couple of days are a bit weird, you get this tickling sensation on the gums but you soon realize that teeth are smoother, gums healthy and generally cleaner mouth/breath.
Mine broker after 4yrs of regular usage (2x a day), not a great performance for a £100+ device but on the contrary my girlfriend's is still working great after 4yrs as well. Still holds a full 3 weeks charge.
I now have a few price alerts set on camelcamelcamel for amazon.co.uk to see if I can get one below £90 (I'm going for one of the newer models, not necessarily "platinum", i dont care for the charging glass).
The model you mention above has gone significantly below £100 as recently as a month ago uk.camelcamelcamel.com/238/product/B00EPDCYUM. I wouldnt pay much above that level honestly, it's a bit of dated version (2013 i think)

I`m on my second or third Oral B and the quality has gotten worse with every new model. Takes an age to charge, lasts 5 days maximum and feels alot cheaper than the previous model. They also have closed batteries in them which arent replaceable and they have only last about 2 years for me before they dont hold a charge.

I`m only about 3 months in to my latest Oral B otherwise I would be very tempted to make the switch to the Phillips.

Electric toothbrushes are regularly on half price offer - check Boots from time to time. It's the expensive heads you are buying into. Yes, you can buy cheaper ones on ebay but these are largely counterfeit and wont last long at all

So - wait for the half-price sales and be guided partly by the cost of new heads

    Waste of money these.

Flossing is a waste of time aswell.

Whenever i go to a Dentist, which is years and years apart as you really cant trust them, they tell me im in the top 5% of people they see.

I brush once a day with a soft brush from lidl. Thats it.

why is flossing a waste of time - gets crap out from between your teeth that will otherwise turn into plaque..?

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dental-Floss-Holder-Grip-Handle/dp/B0082CFSFA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1424101307&sr=8-1&keywords=flossaid

is great for flossing - you can effectively floss in 30 seconds without a mirror with this thing. I've tried lots of different things and this is the best. cost's feck all to refill with floss (oral b dental tape is the best).

Keeping with the oral hygiene theme, because I love my new Philips Sonicare Diamondclean so much I went ahead and picked this up for half price (again, I don't have 50 posts yet so please put www before the link below):-

    littlewoodsireland.ie/philips-sonicare-hx822202-airfloss-rechargeable-air-flosser-pink/1458077089.prd?_requestid=16494

Assuming the pink doesn't bother you, (and why should it...how many pink shirts do you have?) it's a bargain at 50% off.

    Thanks.
