Due to the presence of a recorded National monument on my site I need to engage an Archaeologist to mark out an exclusion zone prior to commencment of building. If anyone had any experience in this and had any details regarding prices/individuals I would be grateful for a PM. Based in Cork.

That sounds pretty uncomfortable, any idea of cost?

A few skeletons were found last week on a local site , archaeologist on site since at €500 a day,
The good news is the price of Vaseline has fallen in line with the price of oil

Bout 300-500 per day. May require some research by archaeologist, monitoring of any excavations, a licence application and report of any findings. The research, application and report would prob be extra (approx 300-500 each).

No shortage of Archaeologists in Cork, thanks for the PMs.

Agreed a price for one site visit and a report to the County Council for less then €300. Very happy with the price as had budgeted for a lot more.
