UFH with Oil

We have oil fuelled heating with radiators. We are extending the house and are thinking of putting underfloor heating in that area. I'm concerned that UFH is going to be more expensive on oil than installing rads? And maybe not as warm?
Also, we were going to put a back boiler stove in the room with the UFH to contribute towards heating the radiators in the rest of the house. But maybe the stove is going to suck the heat out of the room with the UFH and therefore it will end up using more oil to keep the temperature consistent?
Any experience or opinions welcome. Thanks.
