In-laws are going to Orlando at the end of May and was hoping to book me and the gf in however flights seem pretty expensive. Anyone have airline tips or tricks to get cheaper flights? Does the price always go up or is it possible they will go back down?

skyscanner seems to be missing a lot of airlines... just discovered google flights thanks, seems pretty good actually.

Anything else out there that might save me a few bob?

You should sign up for getting airmiles. After getting a certain amount, you can use those to pay in part or in full for a flight. Would take a while though.

Don't fly frequently enough to really benefit from air miles... every time i check air lingus their flights have gone up. Has anyone got much experience in aer lingus prices going down again? Are prices updated hourly? Anyone Privy to this info?

Sometimes they have sales. I think the next one is the 17th of March.

Ended up biting the bullet and booking aer lingus... prices not the cheapest €650pp return (both direct flights). Decided to spend the extra few bob as i wasn't in the mood for stop overs etc. Can someone tell me this, does Bar Service mean free beer or does it mean I'll have to pay for the privilege? :)

That's not a terrible price tbh, if you are in the cattle section you will be paying for drinks iirc

The AL flight to MCO is grand, pretty good seat back IFE, you will preclear US immigration & Customs in DUB so when you land just collect bags & out the door, couple of movies & a few beers, bit of grub, time will pass pretty quick

I don't drink beer (shorts for me) but I assume some beer will be available to purchase

I've flown direct & indirect into MCO & at €650 I've got better but I would have taken that price for direct over indirect

Yeah I agree, it's one thing having a long uncomfortable flight over but on the way home 8 hours direct with AL will be a god send. At their cheapest I think return flights with AL would be aroud 515pp... flight over was 400 and 250 back.
