we have a family wedding overseas in june, everything is booked and paid for, one of the party is rather ill and quite possibly may not be able to travel, do airlines give a refund due to illness if given say a months notice, with documentation from both a gp and a consultant, thanks for the answers

    Not on low fare option.

If you have paid more for a flexi or business class fare then you would be able to amend or get a refund on your flight.

That's what travel insurance is for. You do have insurance right?
