    Hi ncrilly,

    Thank you for your message.

The price of a unit is the same as our standard electricity rates. For a 24 hour meter the price per unit is 16.59 cent without VAT (18.83 cent including VAT). For a Night Saver Meter the day rate is 17.72 cent without VAT (20.11 including VAT) and the night rate is 8.76 cent (9.94 including VAT). The standing charge would vary depending on a what type of meter you have and whether you're an urban or rural customer.

You can find more information about our Pay As You Go meters online: https://www.electricireland.ie/ei/residential/manage-your-account/pay-as-you-go.jsp#ex-qa1
If you're interested you can contact our colleagues in the Pay As You Go department with your MPRN and current meter reading at 1850 30 50 95 for further information and they can go through everything with you. Once the change of supplier completes, you then can arrange appointment.

We also need to make you aware that you would need to make the switch to us and deactivate your Prepay Power meter before we can install our meter for you.

If you've any further queries, do let us know.

    Regards,
    Aoife
