That is a pity. I spoke to you but did not know who I was talking to as I did not see this message until now. I was helping with the organising. I would have liked to say a proper hello.

Ah pity, we'll have to chat at the next one. Did you have a good time? Really liked it, wish I'd gone around to eat other peoples food before it was mostly gone though! Stressful cooking for so many people when I'd never made sushi before, but it was fun. Just had the last LOS donut, yum :D

haha hope it was still fresh enough! I don't think anyone has ever eaten them before besides myself so it's hard to know. But anyway everyone seemed to like them, they said they did at least!

Btw recipe is up in the baking thread if anyone wants to try them.....

You can use sunflower oil to fry them, that's what I used that day and also sunflower butter. I can get peanut oil over here as cheap as any other veg oil in the supermarket but could not see it anywhere in Dublin, except really dear small bottles. I don't think it makes a difference other than I like the smell of peanut oil frying :D

Lots of people there asked what was in them, some people were asking for the recipe which I gave off the top of my head. I had actually intended to write that up and print it off so people could take it but alas there was a lot going on that day!

It was a great experience, people were so kind there, so if anyone fancies having a go next year I'd say do it. The vegetarian society have the pictures link up on their fb page if anyone wants to see what food was there.
