I mentioned the calendar before. I've always felt that the calendar would be an easier sale to non-photographers when raising SSF funds. Love the book and will happily buy a copy myself but getting other Boards users to part with €35/40 is a bit of a reach. How many copies do we sell each year?
A calendar featuring the best* 12 images of the previous year is easy to market and sell. The downside (I imagine) is stumping up the seed cash for the print run.

Oh I feel the calendar should be run in conjunction with rather than instead of the Photobook. :)

This would be the key part of the calendar idea though, because otherwise a calendar on its own with 12 of the best photos from 10-12 boards users is not the most community spirited idea :)

I had some thoughts on how to make a calendar more appealing to the photography forum as a whole rather than just using 12 images but that's a conversation for another day. Lets get the book done first.

While the photobook seems to have become a bit smaller over the past few years, just 12 images for a calendar seems to be very restrictive (POTW not withstanding).

I'd prefer to stick with the current format, where the submitter agrees to purchase a copy of the book, and of course the donation to the charity.

With 50+ images, many of which are not part of the random thread, it's a great collection of the work (art) from the assembled here.

    Hi all

I also think the Calendar is a good idea(as well as the book),but maybe think outside the Box a little,a calendar doesnt need to stick to the 12 page rule, maybe a week by week page would give the ability to use 52 pics.Depending on the physical size of the calendar would determine how many pics you get per page regradless of going the standard 12 pages or any other format.

    Some ideas(no affiliation)
