    Hi All

Just checking some used cars on donedeal, carzone etc... Asking prices seem very high for 2-3 year old cars ie

Dacia Duster 2 yr old 13750 for high spec model - its about 19000 new
Also skoda octavias seem very pricey second hand.

Might nearly be worth going for new car if it only depreciates 3k a year as these prices seem to indicate

    so am i missing something

Asking price is one thing , getting it is another.
in general i find that a 3 year old car is worth half of what it was new.
A basic enough corolla or golf loses about 3.5grand a year in depreciation..
I have a good few friends who changed cars lately enough and the quotes for a 3 year old corolla /golf were 10.5 plus the trade in.
