Well as a non-resident you'll need to send them a statement of your earnings for the year from wherever you are resident, you'll only be due tax credits based on what percentage of your total earnings for the year were earned in Ireland.

If you had been resident and working in Ireland up until leaving halfway through the year that would go through alright, someone arriving in the middle of the year then leaving shortly after is in a different boat though.

As you couldn't have submitted a statement for the year from your country of residence until 2014 had ended it couldn't have been done 5 months ago.

Send that to them with a note asking for a review of your Irish tax paid.

Have you tried phoning them? I always find that they're quite helpful when you get them on the end of a line.
