Hi all,

Last car packed in so looking around the moment. Problem is I have quite a funny list of needs. Basically Im mostly buzzing around town or the suburbs but once every couple of weeks or so I may have a long drive with fairly large heavy equipment (work as a cameraman). Would really like a nice estate but the problem is the wife hates the look of most estates, and more importantly reckons she wont drive something too big/long (she didnt even like driving our old mazda 121!). She drives fairly infrequently but it still has to be taken into consideration. Also as I drive a fair bit in town without the equipment something smallish would suit me too, just need to have the size for the bigger jobs when they arise.

I cant post links but I was thinking a clio estate , 207 estate or fabia estate would be ideal, though I can only find 1.2 or 1.4s within my price range and under 100,000k.

Would they all be a bit underpowered at 75/80bhp? The last car (75bhp) struggled with equipment loaded in on hills etc, but my dad reckons newer engines cope better...

Budget is 6000, 7000 maximum.

Any ideas what I should get? (other than a new wife!). Any help appreciated, hunting around is driving me mental!
