Why are pix on my Galaxy Fame phone showing up sideways?

    Have had a Galaxy Fame phone for nearly a year. It has recently started doing what my old one ( a Galaxy Ace) did all the time, which was why I got rid of it.

    When I take photo the right way up, it shows up sideways in the gallery. Sometimes it will show up straight in the gallery, but if I email it, or upload it to Twitter, it will be sideways there.

    If I turn the phone sideways to take the pic (which doesn't always suit if you want a full length shot of something) the pic shows up upside down. What is going on? When I am taking a picture, I make sure I hold the phone dead straight, so it doesn't get confused as to the direction it is pointing. I have the auto rotate feature turned off, as it not a feature I care for on my phone. Could that have something to do with it? Not being able to take straight pictures is getting really bloody annoying ! :mad:
