I was told to visit the KAL showroom to get ideas. Are they just distributors or can the public buy directly from them?

I'm pretty sure they are distributor only, the only reason they deal with consumers is because they have a showroom but to buy you have to go away and find a retailer. They are distributors for Neff which being an expensive brand tends to be represented by just the one oven and hob in your average electrical showroom so if you want to see the full range, you'd need to visit the KAL showroom.

I think they often do demonstrations for retail sales staff so you need to book if you want to visit them. I don't think it's as rigid as booking an appointment with the dentist, they will probably just tell you to avoid certain slots in the next few days but otherwise call in when you choose.

Kal do demonstrations but I'm pretty sure they do them for the public. Think it's mostly Neff products that they demonstrate but I could be wrong. LG and Nordmende would be their two other main brands

Thanks Folks, I'll give them a ring. Was hoping to be able to buy appliances directly but thought that was unlikely.

Just be aware that the Nordmende brand in Ireland is owned by the KAL group so expect them to steer you to that brand over all others. Any reference to the 'heritage' of the original Nordmende brand is pure marketing BS.
