I applied for a passenger service agent position in dublin with aerlingus at the start of January I did the online assessment but herd nothing since !

Interviews were this week, im guessing you wernt successful

Yah I'm abit annoyed , I worked with swissport last summer I thought that experience would of got me the interview! Fare play on getting the interview .

They people who do the "actual in plane work" are called cabin crew rather than customer care agents.
I suspect that the OP is referring to an opening for frontline staff in the airport at DUB, ie Check-in,boarding, arrivals.

Appreciate the condescending tone and all but I was questioning as to which it was, thanks for clearing it up nonetheless. I was asking because I work on the phone line myself.

SO you are the phone based customer service for EI? Can I ask where that is based? What is that like? I guess it would be good experience if you wanted to get a post in frontline uniformed work?

My other half applied in December but never heard back. She did apply for the same position in Swiss port and had an interview and offer within a week of applying.

The interviews have been held this week for Customer Service Agents? Ah I assume I was unsuccessful then. My application still says Invite to pre selection online tests even though I completed them weeks ago. Best of luck to everyone who has had their interviews and/or got offered the job!

I got an email today to say I was being added to a panel until late August. So therefore if I am not called then , I will have to reapply when the position is advertised again. I have to do a 5 year background check , fill a form and send it back and I have been told this will be actioned. I wonder what the likelihood is of being called ?? its a sort of limbo I suppose - it wasn't a yes and wasn'ta no either.

I never got a call about a medical just the email about the panel! I was told in the email that I would have received a 5 year background check form which wasn't attached. I have only got this 10 minutes ago. I rang yesterday to chase it up and the lady said there was a great chance of being called from the panel so that sounds promising.

Gosh its seems like ages now - I had only got my 5 year background check forms and stuff through and was in the process of sorting it out etc and my brother had a brain hemorrhage and is still in ICU sedated so I completely forgot about it and I dont think it will be happening for me this time anyway,
